SALMAN KHANS KICK BROKE THE RECORDS WITH A COLLECTION OF RS.234.42 CRORE IN 9 DAYS

Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ is racing towards the Rs 200 cr mark in domestic market but the worldwide figures have already made it enter the super elite club.

The flick, after its second Friday, showed a slight improvement on Saturday raking in Rs 10.62 cr nett in India and taking the nine days domestic collection to Rs 183.93cr.

“Kick [Week 2] Fri 9.22 cr, Sat 10.62 cr. Grand total: Rs 183.93 cr nett. India biz. Racing towards Rs 200 cr. BLOCKBUSTER!” tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

On the other hand, Kick overseas’ nine days collection has gone up to more than Rs 50.49 cr nett taking the worldwide business over Rs 234.42 cr nett.

Tweeted Taran Adarsh, “More Overseas data pouring in... #Kick Overseas total: $ 8.3 million [Rs 50.49 cr].”

However, as expected, Kick wouldn’t be able to hit the double ton by second weekend in India but the super elite club is surely on cards.

Its companion ‘Dhoom 3’ released in Christmas last year, by this time crossed the Rs 200 cr mark easily minting Rs 211.12 cr nett in India.

Kick has already surpassed the Salman Khan’s 2012 release Dabangg 2’s lifetime collection of Rs 159 cr as mentioned in a leading daily.

The Sajid Nadiadwala by today would easily surpass Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’s lifetime collection of Rs 190 cr nett in India.

While other targets it is eyeing on are the lifetime collections of Ek Tha Tiger (Rs 198 cr), 3 Idiots (Rs 202 cr), Chennai Express (Rs 226.70 cr), Krrish 3 (Rs 240.50 cr) and last but not the least Dhoom 3 (Rs 280.25 cr).

So, let’s wait and watch how Kick beats them all!
