Today we are having a good news for YUVI's fans...yes we are talking about the HISTORY created by YUVRAJ SINGH in the IPL (INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE) AUCTION 2014. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore broke their bank to include India's 2011 World Cup hero and paid a record Rs 14 crore to buy the left-handed batting all-rounder in the first round of Indian Premier League players auction in Bangalore on Wednesday.

ABOUT YUVI...

YUVRAJ SINGH (born on 12 December 1981) is an Indian international cricketer.He is the son of former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi movie star Yograj Singh.Yuvraj is a left-hand middle-order batsman and a slow left-arm bowler.

JOURNEY OF YUVRAJ SINGH AS A CRICKETER...

YUVI has been a member of the Indian cricket team in ODIs since 2000.

He played his first Test match in 2003. 

He was the vice-captain of the ODI team from late-2007 to late-2008. 

At the 2007 World T-20, he hit 6 sixes in an over against England's bowler Stuart Broad.

He was named the Man of the Tournament in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

INDIAN CIVILIAN HONOURS TO YUVRAJ SINGH...

He was conferred with Arjuna Award, Padma Shri, India's second highest sporting award in the year 2012 by the President Pranab Mukherjee.

In 2014, he was conferred with India's 4th highest civilian honour "Padma Shri".

TRAGEDY OF YUVI's LIFE...

In 2011, he was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour (stage-I) in his left lung and underwent chemotherapy treatment at the Cancer Research Institute in Boston as well as Medicine Facilities in Indianapolis.

In March 2012, Yuvraj was discharged from hospital after completing the third and final cycle of chemotherapy and returned to India in April.Then ha had a BLASTING COME BACK AFTER THE TREATMENT...

He made his international comeback in a T-20 match in September against New Zealand and since then he is playing well for India.

Commercial interests and achievements of YUVRAJ...

Yuvraj was signed by Microsoft to be a brand ambassador for the Xbox 360 video game console when it was launched in India in 2006.

He appeared in advertisements for the console alongside Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. 

Codemasters' cricket video game Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 was released with his endorsement in India, titled "Yuvraj Singh International Cricket 2007".

The Bollywood animated film, Jumbo featured Yuvraj Singh's voice.

He is the brand ambassador of sports365.in , an online store focused on selling sports goods and fitness equipment.

Yuvraj is also the brand ambassador for the famous sports brand Puma.
