Here are the top ten most popular programming languages:

programing languages

Top 10 programming languages are :

1)JAVA :- JAVA uses a compiler and is an object- oriented programming language released in 1995 by Sun Microsystems. JAVA is a Platform independent language and it is a core language for enterprise client server applications and the Android mobile operating system. Sometimes this is refereed to as code portability even WORA (write once, run anywhere). Java is no. 1 programming language for many reasons.

2) C :- C is a compiled, procedural language developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie. Learning C is crucial. Once you learn C, making the Jump to Java  or C# is fairly easy because a lot of the syntax is common. Also, a lot of C syntax is used in scripting languages.

3) C++ :- C++ is another most popular programming language developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979 at Bell Labs. It is compiled language that has both high-level and low-level languages features. It was started as an enhancement to the C programming. It is used to create a wide array of applications from games to office suites. C++ is bit more difficult to pick up than C.

4) C# :- C# is a compiled, object oriented language written by Microsoft. This language is essential part of .Net framework. It is similar to Java in both syntax and nature. C# is a modern, general-purpose, object-oriented programming language used to develop software components for deployment in distributed environments. Learning C# is a must for any programmer who wants to develop for Microsoft platforms.

5) OBJECTIVE C :- Objective C is a general purpose object oriented programming language derived from C. It is created first by Brad Cox and Tom Love to their company Step stone in the early 1980 's,adds Small-talk-like messaging to the C programming language. The rise of the iPhone and Objective-C go hand by hand. It is the primary language of the Apple iOS Operating System which runs on iPhones, iPads, and some iPods.

6) PHP : PHP is an open source server side scripting language designed for web development. It is originally developed in 1996 by Rasmus Lerdorf. PHP is relatively easy to learn and can be readily embedded within HTML pages, which has made it  go-to general purpose programing language online. At first it was not even a real programming language, but over time it eventually grew into a fully featured object- oriented programming language.

7)JAVA SCRIPT :- Java Script, not be confused with Java, is a scripting language that was developed in the 90's by Brendan Eich. The language itself is dynamic, and gives programmer the flexibility to use object-oriented programming styles as well as functional and imperative ones. It derives much of its syntax from C, and if you plan to do any development for the web in any fashion, learning Java Script should be on your list.

8) PERL:- Perl is an interpreted, high level programming language written by Larry Wall in 1986. Perl is perhaps still the best language for text processing and system administration scripting. It combines Object-oriented and functional programming styles, and is often used as a scripting language. Perl is a open source language used widely to process text through CGI programs.
