THE BATTLE OF CANCER ( JENNIFER MERENDINO)

A New York photographer  Angelo Merendino made a documentary  on his wife breast cancer, Merendino write a book on this also  "The Battle We Didn't Choose, My Wife's Fight With Breast Cancer."



He said, "when he saw first time JENNIFER he knew that she is the one for her. They date each other
about 6 month and then he proposed  to her. She said yes to him.






Everything is going good with them like with every couple. They were lost around in their love world, but suddenly a night mare is like waiting
to come in their life.

In 2008 JENNIFER went for a routine checkup because she felt a lump and it was advise to her that she had a  mammogram. The results confirmed that it was breast cancer. Then at that time Merendino decided to make a document on this journey of cancer. That show how much he love his wife "JENNIFER MERENDINO" died at the age of 40 on DECEMBER 2011





He said,"Their intention when he began making these photographs was to show their family and friends what they were going through. After Jen's cancer metastasized they noticed that most people didn't understand how serious Jen's illness had become and they felt their support group fading away. There were no thoughts about a book or an exhibition or anything like this attention. A close friend suggested that they should post their story on the Internet and with Jen's permission he shared some of their photographs.


 The response was incredible. They began to receive emails from all over the world.
Some of these emails came from women who had breast cancer. They were inspired by Jennifer's grace and courage. One woman shared that, because of Jen, she confronted her fears and scheduled a mammogram
. That's when they knew their story could help others. That helps him to heal knowing that something beautiful is growing from something so horrible and unfair…that Jen's legacy is helping others.
