If you have an internet-enabled device and you are anywhere on the stretch from NIT-Patna on Ashok Rajpath to Danapur, you can now access the internet free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Kumar announced an IT City would be developed on a 200-acre plot at Rajgir. He also said the government has in principle approved an infotech building on a plot of one lakh sq ft and another on a plot of 5 lakh sq ft in Patna.
Kumar asked the information technology department officials to hold roadshows in select cities across the country to spread awareness about the progress made by Bihar.
WHAT IS WI-FI...???
Wi-Fi is a popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to the internet using a wireless technology using radio waves. A Wi-Fi enabled device can connect to the Internet when within range of a wireless network which is configured to permit this. The coverage of one or more (interconnected) access points—called hotspots—can extend from an area as small as a few rooms to as large as many square miles. Coverage in the larger area may require a group of access points with overlapping coverage.Organizations and businesses, such as airports, railway stations, hotels, and restaurants, often provide free-use hotspots to attract customers.Concept of WI-FI--
WI-FI Security--
Wi-Fi Protected Access encryption is considered secure, provided a strong password is used.
For maximum security, your network should include only devices with the latest in security technology – Wi-Fi Protected Access® 2 (WPA2). Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ devices implement WPA2.
Advantages of WI-FI--
Wi-Fi allows cheaper deployment of local area networks (LANs).
Also spaces where cables cannot be run, such as outdoor areas and historical buildings, can host wireless LANs.
New protocols for quality-of-service make Wi-Fi more suitable for latency-sensitive applications (such as voice and video).
So, now India has the longest free " WI-FI " zone. Isn't it a good news for us..??What do you think...??
