The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has migrated to a faster website to enable users book tickets in lesser time. The next generation website (www.nget.irctc.co.in), as it is being called, is being claimed to be four times faster than its predecessor.

According to sources, a sum of Rs 69 crore had been spent on the migration and the upgradation has been done keeping in mind the needs of the next decade. Many of the users even received a mail of the migration.
Even if the users are logging on to the old website (www.irctc.co.in) they are being redirected to the new website.
The new website is close top four times faster than the existing portal and will be ablet o book 7,000 t three will increase the portal’s existent capacity of 2,000 ticket bookings in a minute to that of 7,000 tickets.
