This morning has a big news about two biggest social networking apps...i.e. FACEBOOK and WHATSAPP....This article tells you about the biggest and valid reasons for the acquisition of  WHATSAPP by the FACEBOOK. 

1.WhatsApp User Growth has reached to zenith :-

This chart shows how WhatsApp has set the record for fastest growing company in history when it comes to users.

In just four years, WhatsApp attracted 450 million monthly users and is attracting more than 1 million new users every single day, making it the fastest-growing company of all time in terms of users. That in contrary to Facebook, which only had 145 million monthly active users after four years. With that in mind, the goal of growing WhatsApp’s user base to 1 billion seems pretty inexorable.

2.WhatsApp User Engagement Is Equally Extraordinary :-

Not only does WhatsApp have a ton of monthly users for such a small company, but also,70%(315 million) of those users use WhatsApp every single day.Compared to , facebook only about 62% of monthly users visit Facebook every day.

3.Facebook Acquisition Is Resistive :-

WhatsApp growth is so impressive, Facebook’s acquisition also has a resistive element to it. Facebook faced questions and concerns from investors after data revealed young users abandoning Facebook in favour of messaging apps like WhatsApp .Rather than be threatened by WhatsApp becoming “the next Facebook,” Facebook just brought WhatsApp into the fold.

4.32 Engineers of Whatsapp :-

Among the little staff of 55 employees , there are only 32 Engineers as a Developer in the company (Whatsapp) , who properly manage its users who share 500 million photos a day, which is almost certainly more than Facebook.And conveniently handle 450 million user's 50 billion messages everyday.So one can think,how much skilled they are.

5.No marketing Investment of Whatsapp :-

There is no investment of Whatsapp in advertising the app.JAM KOUM , CEO of Whatsapp says-"We are focussed only on worldwide connectivity of our users,and there is no requirement of public advertisment for it".Also Whatsapp don't force you to sign in through public accounts like Facebook, Twitter, or merge with your gmail account. It was independent, liberating and had the veil of privacy.

6.WhatsApp Is Young And International :-

WhatsApp is one of the most popular mobile apps in Europe, India and Latin America -- areas where Facebook is committing resources to expand. As mentioned above, WhatsApp will also help Facebook attract and hold on to younger people that simply don’t find Facebook to be stylish anymore.
